MY END TIME WORLD

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE, DISOBEDIENCE HAS CONSTITUTIONAL BACKING

 SERVING PUNISHMENTS MAKES YOU KNOWN

GIVING THE BIGGEST THRASH MAKES YOU AN HEROE

AND SAYING THE TRUTH MAKES OF YOU A DUMPSITE

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE NO RECORD IS BROKEN UNTIL CRIME IS DONE IN GRANDSTYLE

 DISCIPLINARIANS ARE OUTCASTS

AND EAGLE RAISERS ARE CALLED NAMES

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE THE WISE HAS NO SAYING

AND FOOLS HAVE THE STAGE

WHERE HARD WORK IS GRADED IS GRADED BY SOCIAL STATUS

WHERE JUSTICE HAS NO SAY

AND CRIME LEADS THE WAY

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE CONVICTS HAVE NO SHAME

AND THE ACQUITTED HAVE TO BE BLAMED

WHERE PACESETTERS ARE EVIL DOERS

AND EVIL MEN ARE GREAT LEADERS

WELCOME TO MY ENDTIME WORLD

WHERE RIGHTEOUSNESS HAS NO SAYING

AND DILIGENCE HAS NO REWARD

WHERE STEALING IS THE WAY

AND CORRUPTION HAS AWARDS

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE TROUBLE IS A WAY OF LIFE

AND STEALING IS A PECULIAR CULTURE

WHEN MEN LIVING IN SIN ARE TAGGED GREAT

AND THE RIGHTEOUS HAVE NO SAY

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE DISCIPLINE IS AGAINST THE LAW

WHERE MEN HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE

AND WISDOM HAS GONE INTO EXTINCTION

MOTIVATION SPEAKERS ARE CHOSEN FROM THE CONGREGATION OF FOOLS

WELCOME TO MY END TIME WORLD

WHERE LITERACY MAKES OF YOU A FOOL

AND EDUCATION GIVES YOU AN EXCUSE TO BE A BETTER ONE

WHERE MANY CALL THE LIGHT DARKNESS

AND THE LAW CAN BE REPHRASED TO ONES INTEREST.

Ige Favour

Trapped

Love is a prison that no one escapes from

Like a criminal, I am in your prison

When I look at you, I feel like ice cream on a sunny day

Your eyes are like spears, piercing through my very soul

I always look forward to seeing your eyes smile from your cheek

Your love sent waves of joy that calmed my sorrows

You are always so bright, you make the sun seem like it’s trying so hard

Oh my love! My love burns like the intensity of a red hot flame

My love is a prison, and you can’t be bailed from it

BURIED IN YOU

In a world of pain,

a world we came to be

lots of unknown, there is

around we search

our place of confidence

mountain of escape

view of motivated truth

slowly I  searched

saw but didn’t find

in you; in your everything was me

the wind blew, you vanishing before my eyes

in more shattered pieces was I left

what a feeling

to see not find

to lose; getting lost yourself

slowly again I search

braver. stronger. fiercer.

yesterday, to be revisited

but maybe forever gone’s the moment

yet, compared to you is nothing

my place of confidence

mountain of escape

view of this heart

the best of myself is buried in you

                                                                                                                                  TUMBA JEMIMA

The Mind

Sitting here by myself alone,

Deep in thoughts,

I don’t know what to do,

I need company,

I need a friend to hold on to,

To pour out my feelings,

Why do I always feel this way,

Is anyone there?

Who understands me?

The days pass and life still goes on,

What happened already did happen,

So let bygones be bygones,

No more weeping and hatred,

I rest my case.

The Island Dream

Come along with me,

To a town beside the sea,

We can wander through the forest and do so as we please,

Come along with me,

To a cliff under a tree,

Making up new members and living so merrily,

All of my affections,

I’d give them all to you,

I’d be here for you always,

And always be for you.

Come along with me,

To a town beside the sea,

Making up new members,

And do so as we please,

Living so merrily.

Father & Child

It’s not time to make a change,

Just relax and take it easy,

You’re still young,

That’s your fault

There’s so much you have to go through,

To be on the right path,

Settle down,

And if you like you can do as you please,

I am older and I’m happy.

I was once like you are now,

And I know it’s not easy to be calm when you’ve found

something going on,

take your time and think a lot,

think of everything you’ve gotten into will still be here tomorrow,

But your dreams may not.

THEY

They do not care about how I feel,

The words that comes out from their mouths are like

bullets to ones forehead,

When will this end?

Why is this life the way it is?

They are the ones that are supposed to protect me,

But, No!

They blab crap,

They nag,

They reject,

They criticize,

They make me feel inferior.

“Everything happens for a reason” as the saying goes.

This, I believe is no reason,

It is life.

PHENOMENAL WOMAN

Do not stand at my grave

And weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled

Flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

Men themselves have wondered

What they see in me.

They try so much

But they can’t touch

My inner mystery.

When I try to show them

They say they still can’t see.

I say,

It’s in the arch of my back,

The sun of my smile,

The ride of my breasts,

The grace of my style.

I’m a woman

Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

O.S

IMPARTIAL HATE

Indeed, I cannot tell,

Though I ponder on it well,

Which were more accessible to state,

All my love or all my hate.

Surely, surely, thou wilt trust me

When I say, thou dost disgust me.

O, I hate thee with a hate

That would fain annihilate;

Sometimes against my will,

My dear friend, I love thee still.

It was treason to our love,

And a sin to God above,

One iota to abate

Of pure impartial hate.

Why does everyone on earth seem to be so selfish?

They care about their own, but no one cares about your own ish

All alone to thrive, all alone to fight or I’m someone’s foot mat

Had to build my home, make my flat

I see even in the dark, clearer than a bat
